How To Make A Side Twist Fishtail Braid

How To Style :

Step 1 : Begin by creating a deep side part. Gather a section of hair twisting away frm your face.
Step 2 : Grab a couple more sections, working your way down. ( LIKE A FRENCH TWIST ). Combine with the first section and continue, twisting away from your face. Then Pin into place with a bobbi pin.
Step 3 : Grab a small section of hair. this can be the ends of the pieces you twisted together. Then Move the rest of your hair to the other side, to keep it out of the way for the next step.
Step 4 : Braid the section. I'm doing a fish tail, but you can modify it . THhen tie the end with a clear elastic band. and your done!

Wedding hairstyles

Wedding hairstyles for long hair…easier said than done, right? Especially if you’re planning to do your own hair for your wedding. Lora Kelley sent over this great tutorial for any gal looking to get those loose, beautiful curls we all seem to pine after, but have the hardest time executing on our own at home. Looking for more hair tutorials? Check out this other great wedding hairstyle for long hair here.

Zipper Braids at the Barre

To Prep: You'll need a brush, a pony tail holder and basic french braiding skills. Optional: Two elastic headbands.

Step 1-2: Tip your head upside down and comb through your hair thoroughly. Since we're braiding, it's good to have every last knot out.

Step 3: Start a french braid at the nape of your neck. Because the braid loosens up a lot when you flip back up, you want it pretty tight. Continue french braiding until you get to the crown of your head.

Step 4: While holding the braid firmly in place, gather all the rest of your hair and pull up into a high topknot.

Step 5-6: Add an elastic headband or two for flair. I like to use two and space them apart.

Rock that zipper braid with a bun while you're tightening your core in your Physique 57 class. Your hair will be cute enough to wear out for coffee with girlfriends afterwards!

A braided crown

Step1. First, part your hair into two sections. To make the look softer, I like to make a diagonal part in the front (starting sort of near the arch of my left eyebrow, going towards the middle of the crown) and then bring the part straight down the back.
Step2. Braid the two ponytails, and secure each with a small rubber band.

DIY wedding hair: Pretzel braid

Step1. Start by making two pigtails, using rubber bands. Make them a bit higher up on your head.
Step2. Braid both pigtails...
Step3. ...and secure ends with a rubber band.

Mermaid tail braid

Step1. Divide your hair into two equal sections.
Step2-4. Braid each section, and tie the end with an elastic band. You'll want to do what's called a "Dutch braid." For a normal braid, you take the outside section and cross it IN FRONT of the middle section. A Dutch braid is the opposite: the outside section goes BEHIND the middle section. It's important to do the braids this way so that they'll look seamless when when you connect the two sections later.

BRILLIANT BRAID TUTORIAL

Step 1.2 Pull your hair together to one side. Separate the hair above your hands and put your fore finger and thumb through the hole.
Step 3.4 Grab the bottom of your hair and pull through the hole. You will repeat this step over and over until you reach the bottom of your hair.

Spin Pin Waves

I am constantly on the look out for easy hair styles that don't look so easy.
I am also looking for no heat/low heat styling because it's just too fetching hot for a blow dryer.

And today, I bring you both.

Step 1 - Gather your damp hair with your hands.
Step 2 - Twist your hair.
Step 3 - Wrap into a bun on top of your head and pin in place (do not use hair ties).
Step 4 - Go to bed.
Step 5 - Wake up & unwind your hair.
Step 6 - Take 5 minutes to curl stray pieces, smooth, and spray with hairspray.
